Find Ste. Genevieve County Released Mugshots

A Ste. Genevieve County released inmate mugshot is a booking photograph tied to a specific arrest or custody episode. The photo may remain in an agency record after the person leaves the detention center, even when a live custody result disappears. No Sheriff-hosted mugshot gallery, recent-release photo roster, or official photo app was found. Discovery therefore depends on a focused booking-photo request and, where relevant, a state, federal, court, or news source. Photo availability is never proof of current custody, guilt, or the final result of a case.

Ste. Genevieve County Booking Photo Records

A booking photograph is created during intake and belongs to the record of that custody episode. Missouri does not have a simple rule declaring every booking photo open in every case. Chapter 610 and § 610.100 govern arrest and incident records, but closure, expungement, juvenile status, investigative needs, security, and other laws can affect access.

A released person may no longer appear in a current custody tool while the agency still holds the image. Agency retention is also different from public web display. Ask the record custodian for the exact photograph linked to the named booking and request a written basis if it is withheld. The custodian’s decision controls; no county photo-specific publication policy was found.

Ste. Genevieve County Mugshot Discovery Channels

Each channel has a different scope. None should be treated as a complete gallery of Ste. Genevieve County released inmate mugshots.

Federal BOP locator results are status and date oriented, not a county booking-photo archive. A federal image should be requested from the agency that owns the responsive record.

No Ste. Genevieve County Mugshot App

The official Detention Center page provides “Search Inmate Information” through VINELink. No Sheriff-hosted live roster, recent-release archive, photo gallery, or mobile roster app was found as of July 27, 2026. Photo availability on VINELink varies by participating record, so a result must be checked rather than promised.

City Tele Coin is confirmed for detainee communications and deposits. Describing it as a Sheriff roster, release feed, or mugshot app would be wrong. A recently released person may also be absent from the live county route. The Ste. Genevieve 24-hour release process explains how to confirm that custody event without inventing a photo list.

Request a Ste. Genevieve County Mugshot

Address a narrow Chapter 610 request to the Custodian of Records, Ste. Genevieve County Sheriff’s Office. A precise request is easier to identify and permits the agency to separate open parts from protected material.

  1. Give the full legal name, known aliases, birth date or booking number, approximate custody dates, and case number.
  2. Ask for the booking photograph tied to that custody episode, plus the open booking and release record needed to identify it.
  3. Request admission and release date/time, disposition, destination, holding agency, and transfer entry when relevant.
  4. Ask the custodian to segregate nonexempt portions and cite the statute supporting any withholding.
  5. Request an itemized estimate before costs exceed a limit you choose and ask for an electronic copy when available.

Mail may be sent to 5 Basler Drive, Ste. Genevieve, MO 63670. Confirm delivery options with Jail Division at 573-883-5820. Section 610.023 requires a response as soon as possible and by the third business day, but production can take longer with an explanation. Section 610.026 permits specified copy, search, and research charges. No local booking-photo price or processing time was found, so do not apply the Sheriff FAQ’s base incident-report price to a photo request.

Ste. Genevieve County Press Photo Limits

The Sheriff’s weekly press archive may include a photograph or arrest context in a specific dated item. It is not comprehensive. Its title also creates a common mix-up: a “press release” is a news item, not proof that a person was released from jail. Only the custody record and relevant agency can show the later outcome.

Local news may repeat an official photograph or report a public event. Check the date, source, person identifiers, and later court record. Commercial mugshot publishers and data aggregators are weaker. Their images may be stale, mislabeled, detached from the disposition, or linked to a paid-removal demand. They are not linked or endorsed here.

Photo presence does not show current location. A caption about an arrest also does not establish conviction, release type, or the end of another hold.

Ste. Genevieve County Mugshot Restrictions

Missouri § 407.1150 bars a publisher or disseminator from soliciting or accepting payment from the depicted person to remove or correct booking-photo or criminal-record information. It is an anti-pay-to-remove rule, not a universal ban on publication and not a promise that an official image must be released.

An expungement under § 610.140 can restrict public records held by agencies named in the order. Arrest-record closure under § 610.100 may also apply. The exact case, offense, date, record holder, and court order matter. An order does not bind a holder that was not covered simply because another record disappeared.

Public-record limit: This resource is not a consumer reporting agency. Mugshot information cannot be used for credit, employment, tenant, insurance, or any other FCRA-regulated purpose.

Ste. Genevieve County Photo Request Scope

A photograph request should identify an existing record rather than ask the Sheriff to research a person’s history. Link the image to one booking. If the same name appears in several episodes, list the approximate dates and cause number. A request may read: “Under Chapter 610, please provide the open booking photograph for the named person and identifier tied to the stated confinement dates, along with the open booking and release fields needed to identify that image.”

Ask for a copy in its existing electronic format when available. If part of the record is closed, request the remaining open part and the governing provision. Juvenile, sealed or expunged, investigative, medical, victim, and security information can be withheld or redacted. A denial of one field does not necessarily resolve every other part of the booking record.

The county’s Letter of Incarceration is a separate route. It is available only through a personal mail request from the former detainee with a self-addressed stamped envelope. The county does not fax or email it, and USMS detainees are excluded. That letter may verify confinement dates, but it is not described as a photo-access procedure.

Missouri DOC Photo Records

A county booking photograph and a Missouri Department of Corrections image come from different custody systems. The MODOC active offender search covers active prisoners, probationers, and parolees. Its landing page says discharged offenders are not included. Whether a photo appears must be checked in the live record rather than assumed.

For someone fully discharged from MODOC, request the penpack photograph or discharge material from the department. A penpack is the institutional record package associated with the correctional case. Include the DOC ID, cause number, and known sentence or discharge date. The MODOC historical Sunshine file can help identify a former record, but its documented fields do not turn it into a public portrait gallery.

A person may have both a county image and a state correctional image from separate events. Do not substitute one for the other. The owning agency, date, and identifier should travel with any photo used to verify the record.

The MODOC Sunshine record page shows why historical correctional data and the active locator have different coverage.

Federal Ste. Genevieve County Photo Records

The Ste. Genevieve County Detention Center houses people under more than one authority. Official sources document BOP, USMS, Missouri Department of Mental Health, and ICE populations in addition to local detainees. The county may not control the official photograph for a federally owned booking or detention episode.

The BOP Inmate Locator is built around identity, location, status, and release-date information. It is not a county mugshot archive. For a nonexempt federal image, request the relevant record from BOP or USMS and include the federal register number or court case. A federal docket may identify the order and agency, but it does not guarantee a photo.

ICE’s detainee locator is likewise a custody tool, not a permanent booking-photo gallery. If the county movement record identifies ICE, use the official facility and ICE records route. Physical departure from 5 Basler Drive may be an agency transfer rather than public release, so the custody destination remains central.

Verify a Ste. Genevieve County Mugshot

Match the full name, booking or DOC number, approximate age or birth date, agency, booking date, and case number before treating an image as the correct person. Names and faces alone can produce mistakes. Preserve the source and capture date because official pages can change.

  • Confirm which agency created or holds the image.
  • Match the photograph to one booking or correctional episode.
  • Read the later court disposition separately.
  • Check for an expungement or closure that limits public access.
  • Use the custody record, not the photo, to confirm release.

A booking image documents intake. It cannot show where the person is now. The broader Ste. Genevieve County released-inmate search supplies the county, state, federal, and court checks needed for current status.

Note: Commercial copies can remain online after an official record changes, which is why the originating agency and current court record should lead.
